The Society for Research in Rehabilitation Winter Meeting 2025

 

Maggie Murphy, AHP Research Fellow at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, attended the Society for Research in Rehabilitation (SRR) Winter Meeting 2025 at Essex University. The event kicked off with a networking session and a tour of the new Health, Wellbeing and Care Hub, an innovative space integrating student-led neuro-rehabilitation services.

The conference theme, Technology in Rehabilitation, showcased cutting-edge research, including VR for pain relief, the PCBS-Neuro caregiver burden scale, and R-Speak AI for aphasia communication. The interdisciplinary atmosphere sparked engaging discussions, highlighting the potential of tech-driven solutions in rehab.

Maggie found the mix of presentations, posters, and networking invaluable, emphasising the real-world impact of research on patient care. She left inspired, ready to apply fresh insights to her work.
